Church Park is a neighborhood favorite of North Shore Village. The combination of recreational and gardening activities creates a cohesive park that brings the community together. The open grass field provides open space for events, while the garden plots create a passive space for members of the community to grow fresh veggies. Orchard Park is suited for a variety of uses and experiences. The park has a formal plaza for neighborhood events, a central playground for kids, and a shady orchard perfect for just hanging out. There are benches and seat walls to provide seating but room to accommodate amenities of events. G Brown Design worked with Daybreak Communities (formally Kennecott Land/ Rio Tinto) to provide park programming, conceptual design, construction documentation, and construction period services. Boulder Park is a small yet elegant park located at the north end of East Lake Village. The park’s organic design creates an interesting environment and correlates well with the sculpture-like play structure. Plant variety is abundant and colorful and ornamental grasses produce a prairie like feel.
