Fire Station No. 14

Salt Lake City Fire Station No. 14 is first Net Zero Fire Station in the county, and is anticipating to meet LEED Gold certification. G Brown Design was able take the architectural goals of efficiency, resiliency, and sustainability and integrate the same principles into the surrounding landscape.

Salt Lake County Park Operations Facility

G Brown Design worked with Salt Lake County to help create a unique landscape design incorporated with natural rock features and sculptural elements that become a focal point in the landscape.

Mountain Residence

Our firm worked closely with the client to create this Landscape Master Plan. The client desired to incorporate the natural surrounding landscape into the design through these following design elements:

  • 0.56 Acre Lake
  • Bio Meadow Turf Sod
  • Custom Dock
  • Beach
  • Zip-Line with Resilient (Soft Fall) Surfacing
  • Custom Elevated Play Fort
  • Large Fire Pit Stone Patio
  • Hardy and Deer Resistant Plants
  • Entry Gate
  • Lighting on Stone Columns

We developed a few concepts before coming to a final master plan and construction documents that included site, grading, planting, and irrigation design. The use of existing mature trees and a natural plant palette paired with a half acre lake and beach creates an outdoor experience that fits well within the high mountain environment.
