G Brown Design worked closely with the client to take this contemporary landscape design from concept through construction. The client’s wish list included developing a series of unique outdoor living and entertaining spaces, minimal maintenance and water use, and staying within budget. The contemporary/modern style is accomplished through the careful selection of materials and finishes as well as type and placement of shrubs and trees. Some of the program elements included in the design are:
Concrete Pavers
Retaining Wall in Front Yard
Recessed Fire Pit Area
Outdoor Kitchen
Pergola
Custom Fence
Raised Planters
Seat Wall/Bench around Fire Pit
A series of 3D renderings were created using SketchUp and Lumion to show the overall design intent, and help both the homeowner and contractor visualize key parts of the landscape. In addition to design work, G Brown Design assisted the homeowner in seeking bids from qualified contractors, and provided construction management services to ensure the client’s vision became reality.
G Brown Design has recently updated the overall Master Plan for Magna Regional park. Program elements for the 63 acre master plan include:

The playground is designed to address the needs of users across the developmental continuum by providing variety and graduated levels of challenge with a focus on collaborative, sensory, and unstructured play.
G Brown Design was able to create 3D models of the destination playground and splashpad using SketchUp and Lumion. The use of 3D modeling during the design process enabled G Brown Design to create an exciting and inclusive playground environment for all. Construction is underway and should be completed by May 2021.
